Dhaka based rock band Introit, on February 10, released its latest single “Ami Kingba Onno Keo” on their YouTube channel.
On this occasion, a small ceremony was also arranged at the capital’s Farmgate heavy metal t-shirt outlet.
Vocalist Shahan Kamal Uday said that the song was recorded last year, and the band had a plan to come up with a music video.
However, later they thought to go with a lyrical video for the time being.
“Ami Kingba Onno Keo” has been written by Shahan Kamal Uday and his friend Nazmul Islam Nishad.
This song is about an argument within the self or the self-evaluation of a person. It narrates the story of chasing after a dream and transforming into a very different person who can hardly be recognised.

It was mixed-mastered by Raihan Mahbub Rasha of the Hungry Dog Studio and drums were recorded by Shafiqul Islam at NOiZEMiNE Studio.
The song will soon be available on different audio streaming platforms.
Introit emerged from the Dhaka University (DU) music scene in 2018. The word introit indicates the beginning or start, originally referred to as the intro part of Gregorian chants (sacred song).
The current line-up of the band includes Saidul Haque Tanjib on guitar and back-up vocals, Utchas Chakraborty on drums, Shahan Kamal Uday on main vocals and guitar, and Esti Imam on bass guitar.
